I am pleased to share a new fashion editorial titled "The Mystic" published in Yellow Magazine.

This was my first collaboration with fashion stylist Kara Erwin. I worked with Kara years ago when she was a model with Elite New York. We reconnected on Instagram and met for coffee in Soho to plan this shoot.. I really enjoy working with her and know this is the first of many future collaborations.

Kara reached out to her former agent Roman Young of Nomad Management who suggested Hey Yeon, who recently arrived in New York and was placed with Crawford Models, New York. I was excited when she told us this was her first shoot in NYC.

Makeup artist Maria Oviedo rounded out the team. I love working with her. She says she doesn't style hair, but I love what she creates and make her do it!

For each look I started shooting with my digital camera, work the look to see how I want to visually interpret it. Once I have an idea on posing and lighting I pull out my Holga 120 film camera and shoot the look. I have worked with this plastic toy camera a lot and have a good feel on how to get the effects I am after.
