Between The Mirrors:: A Futuristic Editorial for Numéro Switzerland
Between The Mirrors, new editorial for Numéro Switzerland explores identity, reflection, and transformation through a sleek, nocturnal lens. Photographed by Eric Hason, styled by Tatjana Ostojic, with hair and makeup by Maria Oviedo, and featuring Whizdom from Ford Models New York, the story unfolds in a mirrored, electric-blue universe where power and vulnerability coexist.
Shot in Hason’s East Williamsburg studio, the set was intentionally minimal yet highly conceptual. A black backdrop served as the foundation, punctuated by mylar reflective material that fractured light and multiplied the subject’s presence. Red and blue gelled lighting created a cinematic, futuristic atmosphere—part cyber-noir, part fashion laboratory—where each frame feels suspended in a moment of transformation.
At the heart of the editorial is the idea of duality. Each look represents a different state of the same character, shifting between control and surrender, dominance and softness. High-shine textures and sculptural silhouettes amplify the tension, while bold makeup and sharp hair styling underscore strength and mystery. The reflective surfaces introduce an alter ego—an echo of the self—suggesting that identity is fluid, layered, and constantly evolving.
The interplay of light and reflection becomes a narrative device. Electric-blue tones evoke technology and futurism, while flashes of red hint at emotion, danger, and desire. Together, they create a visual dialogue between precision and instinct, surface and depth.
This editorial is not just a fashion story; it is a study in transformation. Through mirrored environments and shifting personas, Numéro Switzerland presents a character in flux—powerful, enigmatic, and unapologetically modern.
